McWilliam - 1989 Tabbed In TablEdit By: Steve J. McWilliam - 1998 Written by Owen Tunbridge in the early 1960's and then performed by Wizz Jones. This arrangement was taken from a performance by Ralph McTell at the Brunswick Hotel in Crewe in 1968 and is shown in the way it is now performed by "Nobody's Business" (circa 1992). It is played with a Capo on the 3rd fret:- Verse: "C, Amin, F, G, C, G", Instrumental: "C, E7, F, G, C, E7, F, G", and back to the verse. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Words: 1. Earles Court, One room with hooker Down the Brompton Road I took her We wrestled on her brown settee 2. And as the room got colder I got a little bolder And conned a tanner for the old gas fire 3. Earles Court now what a shake down Think I'm gonna have a breakdown The Labour's stopped paying me now 4. Earles Court now what a hole Can't even draw my dole I ain't got enough stamps on my insurance card Instrumental Break: 5. Earles Court, what would mother make of her Down the Gloucester Road I took her We wrestled on her brown divan 6. And as the dawn comes stealin' Across that peelin' ceilin' We heard the commuters go hurryin' by. Instrumental Verse: Instrumental Break: Instrumental Verse to End. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- steve.mcwilliam@btinternet.com http://www.stevemcwilliam.co.uk/guitar/index.htm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TablEdit - the best tablature editing software for fingerstyle guitarists. http://www.tabledit.com/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- c0w"&+05 %).38
