The Biodiversity Information System for Cheshire, Halton,
Warrington and Wirral


If you, or your society, colect biological records you can help to protect our natural heritage
by passing your information on. RECORD is now open and would be pleased to receive any
information about plants or animals you might have seen/recorded. Observations might come
from tripstothe countryside or simply from your own backyard. No mater how trivial you think
the record is, it is useful to us. We aim to colate al terestrial, freshwater and marine
sightings, and the basic facts weneedto know are:

 Your Name,Addressand Telephone number


 Species Name


 Site where the observationwas made


 OSGrid Reference for the Site(if youdon'tknowhowto dothis we can help, giveusa ring)


 Date of Observation (e.g. 13/12/1998)


Records can be sent to the centre for inputing to the database via paper records,
computerised records via email, record forms via our web-site, etc. If you would like to help
